Fleets

Last updated 3 months ago

Fleets are a key component of Galaxy Dust Online, allowing players to strategically group ships, astrobots, and tools for various missions and expeditions. Fleets can be named, modified, or dismissed back into their original assets, offering flexibility in gameplay. Below is a step-by-step guide on creating fleets using the two available methods.

How to Create Fleets in Galaxy Dust Online

Understanding Fleet Licenses

To create a fleet, players need a Fleet License, which determines the maximum fleet capacity. Fleet Licenses come in three sizes:

  • Small License: Allows up to 15 fleet capacity.

  • Medium License: Allows up to 30 fleet capacity.

  • Large License: Allows up to 50 fleet capacity.

Note: Fleet capacity is determined by the total size of the assets in the fleet (spaceships, astrobots, and tools), not the number of individual assets. Fleet Licenses can be found in the Assets Inventory under the Licenses Tab.

Method 1: Creating Fleets from the Assets Inventory

  1. Access the Assets Window:

    • Navigate to the Assets section from the main menu.

  2. Go to the Licenses Tab:

    • Click on the Licenses Tab to view all available Fleet Licenses.

  3. Select a License:

    • Choose a license that suits the fleet capacity you need (15, 30, or 50 capacity).

  4. Fleet Creation Page:

    • Once you select a license, you will be redirected to the Fleet Creation Page.

  5. Assemble Your Fleet:

    • Select the ships, astrobots, and tools you want to include in the fleet.

    • Ensure that the total fleet capacity does not exceed the maximum allowed by the selected license.

  6. Create the Fleet:

    • Click the "Create Fleet" button to finalize your fleet.

    • Your new fleet will now appear in your Assets Inventory under the Fleets Tab.

Method 2: Creating Fleets During an Expedition Setup

  1. Start Expedition Setup:

    • Navigate to the Expedition menu and begin setting up an expedition group.

  2. Attach a Fleet License:

    • On the Expedition Group Creation Page, attach a Fleet License to the group.

    • The license will determine the fleet capacity for that expedition.

  3. Fleet Creation Button:

    • Once a Fleet License is attached, the "Create Fleet" button will appear.

  4. Assemble Your Fleet:

    • Select ships, astrobots, and tools for the expedition group. Ensure the total fleet capacity does not exceed the license limit.

  5. Finalize the Fleet:

    • Click "Create Fleet" to complete the setup. The fleet is now ready for deployment in the expedition.

Modifying and Dismissing Fleets

  • Modify Fleets:

    • Update fleet composition by adding or removing assets.

    • This action incurs a fee of 50 Phantom Coins.

  • Dismiss Fleets:

    • Dissolve fleets to return the assets to your inventory.

    • This action incurs a fee of 10 Phantom Coins.

Fleet creation in Galaxy Dust Online is a strategic tool that allows players to adapt their gameplay to various challenges and missions. Whether youโ€™re exploring, mining, or battling, assembling the right fleet within your license's capacity is essential for success!
